Peer learning communities
Our learning communities will bring together colleagues from across Evolve’s membership to exchange knowledge, skills and expertise around members most pressing challenges, driven by insights from our powerful data platform.
They are a dynamic and collaborative environment that leverages the collective expertise and experience of members from a range of different professional backgrounds.
Why join our learning communities?
- Learning community members are enabled to define the direction of the community and agree priorities. They are a safe space to reflect on performance, discuss failure and drive action, brainstorm solutions and implement improvements. They foster a learning culture of continuous improvement.
- Driven by Evolve’s data analytics capabilities and using shared experiences to co-design solutions, our learning communities are designed to speed up problem identification and solution implementation, thus reducing waste of time and resources.
- Facilitated by experienced improvement experts, they will have a structured approach to learning, innovation, and continuous improvement, using both quantitative and qualitative data to understand variation and context, and test small-scale changes choosing the best method and improvement tools (eg, PDSA cycles)
- Our learning communities will give members the opportunity to develop new skills and knowledge through collaboration and shared learning experiences in a supportive environment.
How will the Evolve Collaborative’s learning communities work?
Our learning communities will be structured around four core domains in the first year:
- Safety
- Financial and operational sustainability
- Effectiveness and population health
- Timeliness and accessibility.
Each community will be member-led, with members agreeing the topics or problems they want to tackle. They will meet for at least 12 hours of peer-to-peer learning events a year, designed to build knowledge and enable reflection. This will be backed up by:
- Discussion forums for sharing ideas and dialogue
- Feedback sessions for constructive input and improvement ideas
- Collaborative workshops
- Specific task-focused groups
- Invited guest speakers sharing their knowledge.
