As part of our Black History Month activities, the BME Leadership Network is holding a series of events.
This is the third event in the series, and will be chaired by Danielle Oum, chair of Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.
An opportunity for the BME Leadership Network to educate its members on the history and nature of the anti-racist struggle in the UK, and the lessons learned. The event will bring together contributors with significant experience of anti-racist campaigning over the last 50 years. They will make the positive case for unity in confronting racism.
- Amrit Wilson – writer and activist on issues of race and gender in Britain and South Asian politics
- Colin Prescod – cultural activist and chair of the Institute of Race Relations
- Salma Yaqoob – British political activist and psychotherapist
