Demystifying AI in Mental Health Services
The use of AI in mental health services and across healthcare is rising, with many seeing it as an opportunity to improve productivity, increase access to care and support both administrative and clinical processes. This increased use has been recognised by policy developments including the NHS 10-Year Plan, AI Opportunities Plan and the planned development in 2026 of new MHRA AI regulatory frameworks and a new NHS England AI Strategic Roadmap.
Within mental healthcare, it is crucial to focus on how AI can be used safely and effectively to achieve the biggest gains for the workforce and patients, whilst mitigating any risks.
To support this, we are working with Limbic to develop a briefing which will help you to demystify AI, consider current policy developments and explore the opportunities presented by AI, whilst also addressing practical concerns around governance, liability and implementation through clear examples of its use in service delivery.
This webinar will launch the briefing and provide you with an opportunity to hear from mental health trust leaders and AI experts on the different use cases of AI in mental health, the key pillars of the guide and engage in a wider discussion on the challenge and opportunity presented by AI.
