We are all acutely aware of the ongoing negotiations around the UK exit from the European Union. At this event we will bring together the key partners, north and south, to explore the policy context, emerging mitigating actions and any opportunities to improve health outcomes. Building on our round table report from March 2017 and the work of the Brexit Health Alliance, the key issues to be covered will include; Workforce, Funding, Innovation, Regulation, Cross Border Working, and wider co-operation.

Session objectives

  • To hear from strategic leaders and policy makers on the direction of travel in the context of the ongoing EU Exit negotiations
  • To provide a forum for engagement and knowledge sharing, bringing the HSC, HSE and stakeholders together
  • To explore concerns and solutions for key issues and consider early actions and opportunities

This will be of interest to; HSC and HSE colleagues, public representatives, academics, independent and third sector leaders working in health and social care.

Many thanks to the Brexit Health Alliance, QUB Public Engagement Service and Turley PR and Public Affairs for their assistance in developing this event.
