NHS Work and Health Forum

A national network for health leaders tackling record high levels of economic inactivity.

We’re working with NHS England, the Department of Health and Social Care and the Department for Work and Pensions to deliver the NHS Work and Health Forum.

The forum, launched in September 2025 as the NHS Work and Health Network, provides practical support to help integrated care boards establish outcome targets to reduce economic inactivity – a key recommendation in the 10 Year Health Plan.

Through a mix of interactive workshops and presentations from thought leaders, the forum:

  1. Helps you to integrate work, health and skills services
  2. Provides a space for learning from others about what works
  3. Enables you to inform and co-design work, health and skills policy with NHS leaders and national government.

We are currently finalising the schedule of forum sessions for 2026. Sign-up to receive invitations to upcoming sessions using this link.

  • While the forum is primarily aimed at people leading work and health initiatives in ICBs, it is open to others working in the wider work and health system, including:

    • NHS trusts
    • voluntary, community and social enterprise sector
    • primary care
    • local government.
