Welsh Labour Stage 2 Policy Consultation: Welsh NHS Confederation response
The Welsh NHS Confederation welcomes the opportunity to respond to the Welsh Labour Stage 2 Policy Consultation.
On behalf of our members, NHS leaders in Wales, the Welsh NHS Confederation’s response to the Welsh Labour Stage 2 policy consultation puts forward five priority areas for the next Welsh Government:
- Deliver a cross-government national strategy to improve health and wellbeing and reduce inequalities.
- Invest in a long-term plan for the NHS and social care workforce and their education.
- Publish a joint health and social care performance and framework for seamless care and support.
- Establish an independent rapid review to develop a long-term agreement on the sustainability of the social care system.
- Launch a long-term capital and infrastructure strategy.
