Managing industrial action guidelines

NHS organisations must recognise that their members of staff have a right to take industrial action without it being held against them in any way.

The need to cope successfully with industrial action remains a key challenge for many employers and managers. 

These guidelines have been developed to provide managers with some written advice on action they need to take and responsibilities they will have during a period of industrial action. They also need to form part of a much wider emergency planning/contingency planning process within MHS organisations.

The guidelines apply only to legitimate industrial action that has been called in accordance with statutory requirements.

Datblygwyd y canllawiau hyn i roicyngor ysgrifenedig i reolwyr ar y camau y mae angen iddynt eu cymryd a’u cyfrifoldebau yn ystod cyfnod o weithredu diwydiannol. Maen angen iddynt hefyd fod yn rhan o broses cynllunio argyfwng/cynllunio brys ehangach o fewn sefydliadau’r GIG.

Mae a wnelo’r canllawiau hyn â gweithredu diwydiannol cyfreithlon yn unig sydd wedi ei drefnu yn unol ag anghenion statudol.
