Leadership and Improvement programmes
System leaders have an opportunity to bring about long-lasting change for the populations they serve.
To support them to achieve this mission, we have developed a range of leadership and improvement programmes. Partnering with a range of organisations across health and care, and beyond, the programmes equip leaders for the challenges ahead and help them to learn from each other through peer support and learning.
Connected Leadership 2025
We are currently delivering the second year of our Connected Leadership programme for ICS Leaders. This is aimed at supporting leaders to navigate their roles in these evolving times and to deliver the three Government shifts. We support leaders to move from concept to concrete action within their systems. The programme is free to ICSs and is made possible by sponsorship from Boehringer Ingelheim Limited.
System Improvement Support
The speed of change in the health service and the newly emerging health and care national landscape has had wide-ranging implications for health and care leaders. We know these changes will have ramifications at every level within the system and for your teams, with much at stake. Both NHS Confederation and Q, as membership bodies, are here to support and work alongside you. System Improvement Support is a new tailored service for health and care leaders and their teams to help them transform services and achieve sustainable improvement now and for the future. Our service boosts cross-sector improvement. We help the system to convene and mobilise stakeholders, encourage peer-to-peer learning, and to build leaders’ confidence to deliver transformation.
Digital ICS Leaders Programme
Supporting ICS leaders to seize the digital opportunity and deliver their system ambitions.
This programme is delivered by the NHS Confederation, NHS Providers and Public Digital and is supported by Health Education England and NHS England.
Health Inequalities NEDs Leadership Development Programme
