Introducing - Connected Peers

Connected Peers is a new offer from our ICS Network, to bring together peers from current, new and interim ICB CEOs, ICB Chairs and ICP Chairs

23 July 2025

The opportunity to meet with peers and share challenges, ideas and think about big issues together, is an invaluable resource for all senior leaders but unfortunately it can be hard to make that happen.

We have heard from ICS leaders that having dedicated time away from the day job, to talk with some one who really understands and who has lived experience of the role can be a source of inspiration, comfort and confidence.

Connected Peers is a new offer from the NHS Confederation’s ICS Network, to bring together peers from current, new and interim ICB CEOs, Chairs and ICP Chairs, on a one-to-one or small group basis, to share, learn, talk and meet together:

  • Take time out of the stresses of the day job to work together on bigger strategic issues
  • Share thinking and approaches for scaling solutions at system level
  • Showcase best practice and what is working
  • Lean on each other for support during this very challenging time of upheaval
  • Learn how different parts of the country tackle wicked issues differently
  • Examine other improvement, change and transformation models together

This is an informal arrangement where the ICS Network team will help to make introductions between relevant peers and to facilitate regular opportunities to meet and work together.
