Health and Care LGBTQ+ Leaders Network team
About the guiding group
The Health and Care LGBTQ+ Leaders Network guiding group supports the network in its mission to create inclusive environments where LGBTQ+ staff can thrive.
The guiding group meets regularly to agree network priorities, input into programmes of work, and review progress against the network's strategic activities.
Call for nominations: network guiding group
Our network has an exciting opportunity for eight leaders to join our guiding group to help shape the network’s strategic direction, influence national policy, and amplify LGBTQ+ voices across the system.
We have two opportunities available:
• Six positions available for senior leaders working across health and care. If you also have intersecting characteristics, we strongly encourage you to apply.
• Two positions available for LGBTQ+ staff network chairs to be part of the guiding group for a fixed term of two years. To be considered for these roles, you must be a network chair (or co-chair) at a healthcare provider organisation and have at least two years left of your chair term from September 2025.

How to apply
To apply, you’ll need to submit your nomination, with a 200 word statement, and email it to us at lgbtq.elections@nhsconfed.org. Applications close on Friday 1 August for the network chair roles and Friday 8 August for the senior leader roles..
If you are applying as a network chair, you’ll also need to secure the support of the executive lead of your network (or your chief people officer/HRD). This can be either an email confirmation attached to your submission, or by copying the lead into your submission email.
