The Health Foundation, NHS Confederation and the Q community are working in partnership to support health and care systems to learn and improve.

The partnership brings the improvement expertise of the Health Foundation and the networks and relationships of NHS Confederation together with Q’s membership community of over 5,000 people collaborating to improve the safety and quality of care.

Improvement drop-in networking session - NHS ConfedExpo

Calling all improvement leaders in health and care. If you are attending NHS ConfedExpo we are hosting a drop-in session for all health and care leaders interested in improvement across boundaries, to come and meet the partnership team from NHS Confederation and Q, who are working together on a number of improvement programmes for systems. If you are coming to NHS ConfedExpo and want to network with improvement colleagues from across the health and care sector, then please to drop in to our networking session at 3.30pm on day one of the conference. It’s a private session so won’t appear on the main agenda. Find us in Exchange 2&3. Doors will be open from 3.30pm until 5pm for anyone wanting to come along and find out more about improvement.

What does the partnership offer?

We are working with health and care systems to boost their capability to learn and improve collaboratively through a programme of support:

Together, through this programme of support we have been working with systems to:

  • develop learning and improvement approaches needed to meet system goals
  • galvanise local improvement ideas and expertise, helping leaders connect from the board to the ‘frontline’ of delivering change
  • pool evidence and experience to understand and make progress on priority topics
  • share and scale what we’re learning together.

Our work together is grounded in a learning framework for improving across health and care systems, developed by the Q community.

If you would like more information about our partnership or our peer learning programme please watch our video below or email: improvement@nhsconfed.org

“The expertise that's been deployed into the programme and that the peer relationships to help us to remain curious, to reflect on our progress, to ask questions that provoke our thinking. I think that's been the most impactful part for me.”
