Emma Wood

Chief Executive, Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust

Emma was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Trust on 1 October 2025. She joins WAST from University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust, where she served as Chief People Officer and Deputy Chief Executive Officer.

With nearly two decades of experience as a Board Director across both public and private sectors, Emma brings a strong track record of leadership, including previous senior roles within the NHS and emergency services.
