NHS Confederation condemns Manchester synagogue attack

We are deeply shocked and saddened by the horrific attack at the synagogue in Heaton Park, Manchester. Our thoughts are with the victims, their families and the entire Jewish community, especially as this tragedy occurred on Yom Kippur.
Joan Saddler OBE, director of partnerships and equality at the NHS Confederation said:
“This appalling act of violence is a stark reminder of the rising rates of antisemitism in society, including within the NHS. Antisemitism has no place in our communities, and certainly no place in our health service.
"The NHS Confederation will be working with our members to support NHS staff, stamp out antisemitic behaviours and sentiment within the health service, and ensure fair and equitable treatment for all.
“We commend the emergency services for their rapid response and bravery, and we echo the calls for unity, compassion, and vigilance in the days ahead.”
