General practice teams deliver record summer appointments as demand for services rises
Figures demonstrate that general practice teams continue to be the backbone of neighbourhood healthcare.
Responding to the latest Appointments in General Practice data, Ruth Rankine, primary care director at the NHS Confederation, said:
“These figures show yet again strong performance from GPs and their teams, with record appointments being delivered for the months of June and July despite increasing demand for their services.
“It also demonstrates that general practice teams continue to be the backbone of neighbourhood healthcare delivering more care closer to home.”
