Queer Futures 2 is an National Institute for Health and Care Research funded study whose aim has been to produce research that will improve the provision of mental health support for LGBTQ+ young people when they first start experiencing mental health problems.

Following 3 years of research, including investigation of current services for LGBTQ+ young people and specific service-based case studies, the Queer Futures team has created a What Works? model and microsite, intended to support service development from both the NHS and third sector providers; as well as inform LGBTQ+ young people about their rights and what they might expect from a service.

This webinar will share learning from the Queer Futures 2 project, including how to effectively use the tools created by the research team. The session will be chaired by Place2Be chief executive, Catherine Roche. Place2Be is the leading third sector provider of children’s mental health support in schools throughout the UK; and offers expert training and professional qualifications.
