This webinar focused on the role of co-production with people and communities in integrated care systems (ICSs) and was led by Think Local Act Personal (TLAP), a national partnership of more than 50 organisations committed to transforming health and care through personalisation and community-based support.

ICSs will be expected to have a system-wide strategy for engaging with people and communities and involve them in developing plans and priorities. It is therefore imperative that the views and experiences of people are at the heart of the changes.

Chaired by Clenton Farquharson MBE, chair of TLAP partnership Board, attendees heard of some of the opportunities and challenges, associated with translating co-production ambitions into practice, from speakers with lived experience and from the NHS and local government.

This webinar is part of a series of webinars by the Local Government Association, NHS Providers, NHS Clinical Commissioners and NHS Confederation for chairs, non-executive directors, councillors, local government officers and lay members. The webinars explore the top issues facing leaders. Each webinar includes expert introductions to the theme alongside local leaders sharing their practical experiences and learning, to support local leaders to think through what it will take to make ICSs succeed.
