Toby Lewis
Toby Lewis has been chief executive of Rotherham Doncaster and South Humber Foundation Trust, a community and mental healthcare organisation, since 2023.
The organisation is focused on inclusion and diversity, including in its leadership models, successfully eliminating its gender pay gap in 2025.
Toby also leads on learning disabilities, autism, and mental health collaboration across South Yorkshire. Prior to moving to Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire, Toby was Senior Fellow for Health Inequalities at The King’s Fund where his work focused on poverty and on service equity for the most marginalised communities.
In 2013 Toby was appointed chief executive of Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust and has worked in the NHS and health policy since 1994. He holds higher degrees in psychology and in public health.
