Steve Claydon

Senior Dental Adviser, Hertfordshire and West Essex ICB

Steve qualified as a dentist 40 years ago and has a wide range of experience in primary dental care working almost exclusively within the NHS for his entire career. Steve also spent a number of years working in a part time capacity within NHS secondary dental care in a busy hospital orthodontic department.

Since 1991 Steve has supported NHS commissioning bodies in various roles giving clinical advice relating to the procurement and contract management of dental services as well as professional standards teams dealing with dentists in difficulty. In 2001, Steve was entered on the General Dental Council’s list of orthodontic specialists.
