
Raj Jain
Raj Jain is the Chair of Cheshire and Merseyside’s Integrated Care Board and Vice Chair of the Health and Care Partnership. Before this appointment he was the Chief Executive of the Northern Care Alliance. He has held CEO and executive positions at other NHS organisations, including Liverpool Heart & Chest NHS FT and established the Greater Manchester’s AHSN. He has achieved a number of national recognition awards, including Hospital of the Year, Global Digital Exemplar (Salford Royal), CQC Outstanding Ratings (Salford Royal), identified as a Top 100 Public Sector Leaders by the Cabinet Office, and a national excellence in leadership award. He holds positions in charitable organisations and is a strategic adviser to healthcare associated companies. He is passionate about tackling inequalities and the “how” in health and care. He pursues new operating models, challenges the orthodoxy, supports people to reach their full potential and is a passionate advocate for building citizen capacity so that they can influence, especially those that have unequal outcomes and opportunities. Raj was born in the UK and has Punjabi Indian parents who emigrated to the UK in the 1950s. He spent the first 10 years of his career in the oil and gas industry, moving to healthcare to pursue an ambition to create more social value.
