Lucy Hancock
Lucy is the chief executive of Leeds Mind, a specialist local mental health charity, supporting people across Leeds and West Yorkshire.
She is an experienced leader, with a career spanning more than 25 years in the third sector. Lucy began her journey in front-line service delivery and has since gained extensive experience working in various roles dedicated to supporting vulnerable individuals and communities.
Throughout her career, Lucy has focused on improving outcomes and experiences within the social and public health sectors, including areas such as homelessness, criminal justice and mental health. She holds an ILM CMI Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership Practice, reflecting her commitment to strong, values-driven leadership.
Lucy is an advocate for lived experience in service design and delivery. She has successfully embedded this approach across a variety of settings, enhancing the effectiveness and relevance of services.
An active participant in cross-sector forums, Lucy supports mental health systems change throughout Leeds and West Yorkshire. Beyond her professional responsibilities, she’s contributed expertise as a volunteer in education and as a Trustee, reflecting her dedication to the broader community.
With a keen interest in charitable purpose, wellbeing, continuous improvement and neurodiversity, Lucy is committed to driving positive change and collaborating with others across sectors to achieve lasting impact.
