Lauran Ennis
Laura Ennis joined the NHS Graduate Management Trainee Scheme in September 2024 on the General Management stream. In her first year, she worked within the Strategy and Partnership and Improvement teams at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, where she engaged with staff and communities and led projects to enhance efficiency and patient care.
During a two-month flexi-placement, Laura gained experience in policy analysis, stakeholder engagement, and strategic communications with the Public Affairs team at Weber Shandwick, a global public relations firm. She is currently developing operational management skills in her final placement with the Trauma and Orthopaedics team at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.
Prior to joining the NHS, Laura served as the Fundraising and Communications Lead at Smart Works Reading, where she managed events, fundraising campaigns and communication strategies.
Laura graduated from the University of Oxford in 2022 with a degree in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. She is passionate about addressing health inequalities, particularly in women’s health, and is dedicated to designing and delivering services that improve access, experience and outcomes for all.
