Dr Julie Hankin

Medical Director, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough NHS Foundation Trust

Julie holds the formal role as responsible officer for medical revalidation and shares with the Director of Nursing, Quality and Patient Experience, responsibility for the quality of all services provided by the Trust. She also takes the Executive Lead for medicines management, patient safety, reducing restrictive practices and research and innovation.

Julie has had a career across a number of Mental Health Trusts. Before joining Nottinghamshire Healthcare, she was Consultant Psychiatrist and Clinical Director at Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust, where she worked since 2005, within a number of management and leadership roles.

Julie’s career has included Clinical Director roles for Service Redesign, Service Improvement, Governance and Adult Services.

Julie has also been influential at a regional and national level, most recently as a National Professional Advisor for Mental Health for the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
