John Wilderspin

John is an independent facilitator and coach working in the health and care sector following a 30-year leadership career in the NHS. He has a particular interest in systems leadership as a result of during his NHS career working closely with local government colleagues to integrate services for the people they jointly served as well as leading the national implementation of health and wellbeing boards. Subsequently he has co-facilitated system leadership development programmes at both national and local levels, bringing together diverse groups from different organisations to focus on a common purpose. He worked for the NHS Modernisation Agency, leading three national service and performance improvement programmes.  

He has substantial experience of working with boards from his time as chief executive of West Sussex PCT and before that of East Hampshire and Fareham & Gosport primary care trusts, which he headed at the same time. He has also chaired local charity, Solent Mind and been a trustee of Mind national charity.
