James Davies

James is a management consultant and former managing partner of a CQC-rated Outstanding GP practice, with over 15 years of experience across the NHS primary care landscape. He brings a distinctive blend of strategic, operational, and digital expertise, having supported GP practices, primary care networks, and system partners through complex transitions including mergers, contract handbacks, and digital transformation initiatives.

As director of Venn Health, James leads a specialist consultancy working at the intersection of the NHS, health tech, and the life sciences sectors. Venn supports clients to design, implement, and scale innovations that are both clinically meaningful and operationally viable offering expert insight into NHS commissioning, digital pathways, and frontline delivery.

James has extensive experience supporting technology-enabled change, advising health tech companies on market access, implementation, and sustainability. He also provides strategic support to NHS organisations adopting new models of care, including digital triage, virtual pathways, and integrated community services.

Alongside his consultancy work, James serves as Business Manager at a GP practice delivering care to homeless and vulnerable populations giving him a grounded understanding of digital inclusion, health equity, and the importance of adaptable care models. He is passionate about shaping solutions that bridge the gap between innovation and real-world models of care that are inclusive, efficient, and future-ready.
