Financial reset and accountability director in the NHS England executive team

Glen is financial reset and accountability director in the NHS England executive team. In this role he leads the team responsible for implementing the new NHS Operating Model including Model ICB, Region and the new provider delivery models referenced in the 10 Year Plan.  

As part of the move to a more transparent, rules-based system Glen is working closely with the National CFO in delivering financial architecture reset. Alongside his national role Glen is chief executive of the four Trusts which make up the Foundation Group. 

This innovative Midlands-based Group now includes South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust, Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, George Eliot Hospital NHS Trust and Wye Valley NHS Trust. The Group was created to support the Trusts to develop as lead providers of integrated care in their localities, and to share best practice to improve quality and productivity. 

A qualified accountant, Glen was a chief finance officer and a chief operating officer prior to becoming a chief executive.
