Fiona Edwards

Regional Director of North East & Yorkshire, NHS England

Fiona is the Regional Director of North East & Yorkshire for NHS England since March 2025.

Previously, Fiona was the Chief Executive for Frimley Health and Care Integrated Care Board and led the system for over 5 years. Preceding that role, Fiona was Chief Executive of Surrey and Borders Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and has been a Chief Executive in the NHS for over 25 years.

During her career Fiona has held leadership roles within the private, voluntary, and not-for-profit sectors. She has been the national Chair of Cruse Bereavement Care and a national supported housing organisation, which provided both services to the most vulnerable and excluded people in society. Other roles in her career included being a Trustee of the NHS Confederation and she is currently Chair of Advicenow (the foundation for public legal education).
