Suzanne Cleary

Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Officer for Strategy and Partnerships

Suzanne has worked for NHS Birmingham and Solihull Integrated Care Board since June 2019 and within the NHS for over 21 years, with several years at Executive Director level, in NHS commissioning, specialist acute and community organisations. Suzanne has a PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Warwick and a lifelong interest in research, innovation and quality improvement as a result.

Throughout her NHS career, Suzanne has been focused on improving health and health services and is driven to transform the opportunities that local people have to live happy and healthy lives. Her naturally collaborative style enables Suzanne to be highly effective as a system leader; focused on improving health outcomes by developing strategic, evidence-based plans and translating these into transformational change, shaped by local people and delivered through partnership working.
