Dr Genevieve Jeffrey
Dr Genevieve Jeffrey is a teaching fellow in Economics at the University of Warwick and a visiting fellow in Health Policy at the London School of Economics. She is a health economist whose research focuses on gender health inequalities, intergenerational health and the role of public policy in shaping long-run health outcomes.
Her recent publication, Barriers to Women in Accessing Healthcare in the UK – A Review, examines the persistent gender health gap in the UK, highlighting how socioeconomic constraints, caregiving responsibilities, workplace structures and historical biases in medical research contribute to women’s unmet healthcare needs. Her work evaluates the economic and policy implications of these disparities, including labour market effects and the effectiveness of the UK Women’s Health Strategy.
Genevieve’s broader research agenda explores how early-life health and public policy interventions shape long-term and intergenerational inequalities. She contributes to academic and policy discussions on health equity and women’s health reform.
