Dr Dianne Addei

Director, National Healthcare Inequalities Improvement Programme

A consultant in public health medicine, Dr Dianne Addei has worked in local, regional, pan-regional and national roles in NHS England. She also has experience working with The World Health Organisation on the Polio Eradication Programme and with GlaxoSmithKline on the first cervical cancer vaccine Cervarix. 

As a healthcare public health practitioner, over the last 20 years, Dianne has led the review and development of several services in the NHS at local, regional and national level. She has successfully supported the development of various national policies and programmes to transform and improve the quality of services. Dianne is passionate about developing capacity and capability to improve the health of the population and to that end teaches undergraduate medical and allied health professionals as well as post-graduate students. 

Dianne is currently the director of the National Healthcare Inequalities Improvement Programme and works with colleagues to deliver good quality healthcare for all – ensuring equity of access, an excellent experience and optimal outcomes for patients.
