Director of Vaccination

Caroline joined NHS England in 2017 as regional head of primary care for the South region. Following that, Caroline led the primary care transformation agenda in the South East. During the COVID pandemic, she was programme director for the COVID vaccination programme for the South East, setting up their network at pace, before moving to the NHS England National team as director of operations and delivery for COVID vaccinations. Following the pandemic, Caroline has taken on responsibility for the delivery of all vaccination programmes including the launch of two new RSV vaccination programmes in 2024.

Prior to joining NHS England, Caroline spent nine years working for NHS Employers on the national GP and community pharmacy contract negotiations. Caroline also worked for the Health and Social Care Information Centre and led the national clinical audit of mastectomy and breast reconstruction as well as working on a number of other national clinical audits.
