AI in NHS Communications Network: quarterly event
Speakers

We're delighted to be holding to the second quarterly event of the AI in NHS Communications Network, taking place on Wednesday 1 October, from 11:00 - 12:30.
As we did at our inaugural event in June, we will be bringing together peers from across the NHS communications profession who are interested in AI, offering a space to share learning, best practice, and tackle shared challenges.
Our keynote speaker at the event will be Simon Baugh, chief executive of the Government Communications Service (GCS), who has led the GCS' drive to adopt AI into the communications activities of communications professionals working in the civil service.
The AI in NHS Communications Network is part of a wider programme led by the NHS Communications AI Taskforce in partnership with the NHS Confederation. Our focus is on capability-building among the NHS communications profession when it comes to the adoption of AI.
What to expect
- An update from the AI Taskforce & our working groups: Hear the latest progress on our priority action areas, from network co-chairs Daniel Reynolds, director of communications at the NHS Confederation, and Sonya Cullington, independent director of NHS communications.
- Guest speaker: We will be joined by Simon Baugh, the chief executive of the Government Communications Service. We are excited to see how he can bring his twenty years of experience in strategy and communications roles in the public and private sectors to our Network session.
- Audience Q&A & feedback session: Sonya will lead an open session with network members. The purpose of this part of the agenda is so that we can get feedback on the work we are delivering, identify issues and concerns that members want us to address through the AI Taskforce, and so that we can create a learning community where members share ideas and best practice.
Parts of this session will be recorded for sharing with members of the network and will take place on Microsoft Teams. As such, by joining this event, your name and email address may be visible through Microsoft Teams to other members of the network. This is functionality of Microsoft Teams we cannot alter. By signing up to this event you are consenting for your data to be visible in this way. Please note, during the meeting you may be able to turn off your camera and alter your name.
