Find your local leaders of growth

Establishing closer links with your local leaders of growth can help the NHS in your area bring in long-term external funding, exert more influence over strategic decision-making and improve services locally.

The development of sustainability and transformation plans (STPs) is a welcome opportunity to recast relationships across a given economy and STP leads should initiate early discussions to see how better partnership working can support local planning.

The NHS Confederation has played a key role in supporting NHS colleagues to develop these partnerships over the last year. The map below is intended to help STP leads across England understand their respective local enterprise partnerships (LEPs) and if appropriate, their Combined Authorities.

While footprints will not in many cases be fully aligned, it is important that we understand who is taking strategic decisions about our locality. Where a Combined Authority is listed in brackets, a formal decision about its approval is still pending.

This agenda is evolving at a fast pace and the map will be updated as appropriate. For more information please contact Michael.wood@nhsconfed.org

How grounded optimism could help the NHS change | Dan Charlton

25 / 6 / 2019 11.27am
