As a Senior Partnerships Officer you will:

  • Build and develop senior level long-term partnerships with the help of the Head of Commercial, so we can continue to generate significant income annually to support the work of the NHS Confederation.
  • Account manage key clients with partnership agreements of up to £50,000, ensuring that contracts agreed and delivered on time and on budget.
  • Offer the highest level of customer service and ensuring a high return on investment.
  • Lead on income generation for the national and sector specific conferences. These events will offer both exhibition and sponsorship opportunities that you will promote and sell to secure income against a pre-determined target.
  • Work closely with the Head of Commercial, to help develop, promote, and sell supporter involvement at our flagship events providing the highest level of customer service to protect the good reputation of our events.
  • Work on the delivery of the operational aspects of our national exhibitions, liaising with clients, venues, and contractors.

About You

  • have extensive experience of working in event sales ideally including exhibition and sponsorship sales, with a solid track record of achievement.

  • have strong project management skills and the ability to work under pressure to deliver complex, high profile events to a very high standard.
  • have an understanding of delivering commercial activity as part of virtual events
  • can prioritise tasks while working on a series of exhibitions at the same time. 
  • have an IOSH Managing Safety Certificate (preferred but not essential)

  •          Stakeholder Management

    • Reporting to the Head of Commercial, you will help to build and develop long-term partnerships, often at a senior level.  These relationships are a key way we generate significant income annually to support the work of the NHS Confederation.
    • Build and maintain of good knowledge of the current health and social care environment, keeping up to date with current issues affecting our stakeholders and members.
    • You will account manage key clients with partnership agreements of up to £50,000, ensuring that contracts agreed and delivered on time and on budget, offering the highest level of customer service and ensuring a high return on investment

             Networking and Generating Sales

    • Working closely with the Head of Commercial, you will help develop, promote, and sell supporter involvement at our flagship events and provide the highest level of customer service in order to protect the good reputation our events.
    • Research, identify and generate sales leads for a portfolio of events, activities and conference centre whilst adhering to our commercial strategy and working closely with colleagues both within the commercial team and across the directorate to achieve these aims.
    • You will lead on income generation for the national and sector specific conferences. These events will offer both exhibition and sponsorship opportunities that you will promote and sell to secure income against a pre-determined target.
    • You will be expected to deliver on commercial income targets and provide regular progress updates to the team in weekly sales meetings.

             Exhibition Management and Facilitation

    • Liaison with exhibitors, sponsors, venues, contractors, and key stakeholders to ensure that the event runs smoothly. This includes the operational delivery of our national exhibitions.
    • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to ensure the safety and health of all involved and to protect the organisation from adverse litigation.

     

  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    The post-holder will have extensive experience of working in event sales ideally including exhibition and sponsorship sales, with a solid track record of achievement.  Good account management and interpersonal skills are essential to build good working relationships across the organisation, with external clients and with contractors.

    An understanding of delivering virtual events is highly desirable.

    Strong project management skills and the ability to work under pressure are needed to deliver complex, high profile events to a very high standard.

    The post-holder will need to prioritise tasks while working on a series of exhibitions at the same time.  An IOSH Managing Safety Certificate (preferred but not essential)
