Getting the sums right: How to sustainably finance personal health budgets

The challenges of identifying the funds for personal health budgets, and managing the financial risks to commissioners and providers, have been known for some time. As a number of local areas extend the option of personal health budgets to more people, and NHS budgets become even more squeezed, the need to find solutions is becoming increasingly urgent.

This briefing sets out the learning from a workshop led by the NHS Confederation, in partnership with Think Local Act Personal, and signposts further evidence and practical support.
