20 / 02 / 2015
Monitor and NHS England have written to all providers of NHS services to outline an ‘enhanced option’ for the NHS payment system for 2015/16, which would replace original proposals in the 2015/16 national tariff for any providers voluntarily agreeing to it –
the enhanced tariff option.
Providers not selecting this option will be paid on the basis of the prices in the 2014/15 tariff being rolled over until a new agreement can be reached – the default tariff pption.
All providers of NHS-funded services have until 4 March to select an option.
The NHS Confederation has received a number of questions from members on the tariff options and has worked with Monitor to develop a frequently asked questions (FAQ) document.
