The most significant gathering of health and social care leaders will take place once again in Manchester this summer.
Booking has now opened for Confed19, held on 19 and 20 June, with confirmed speakers including Professor Eric Topol, NHS England chief executive Simon Stevens and Mayor of Greater Manchester Andy Burnham, with more to be announced.
And we are not just looking to these shores for inspiration – our main stage speakers this year include Ryoji Noritake, chief executive of Health and Global Policy Institute in Tokyo and Harvard University’s professor of public health David Williams.
In these busy and demanding times, our flagship annual conference and exhibition is the perfect occasion to step back and find space to network with colleagues, reflect on your challenges and plan for the future.
You will hear from prestigious key note speakers on the main stage and pick up expert tips, innovations and insight to help you improve patient care and get to grips with integration.
With the NHS at this critical juncture, Confed19 is an integral opportunity for the whole system to come together to discuss sector-wide priorities including Brexit, integration, workforce pressures and the NHS Long Term Plan.
Helping leaders stay ahead of the curve, the conference will explore six key strands – digital, technology and innovation; finance, productivity and efficiency; integrating care; people-centred health and care; workforce; and all together, all different. Each will contain a mix of plenary sessions, panel discussions, debates, seminars and workshops to provide insights and learning in the areas of most interest and importance to you.
This year our conference will focus on the future and this theme will be supported by our conference strands.
The exhibition will again host a range of zones, bringing the latest innovations under one roof and giving delegates the opportunity to network with more than 100 healthcare suppliers carefully selected to help you find new solutions, suppliers and partners.
Back by popular demand, the “In conversation with” zone - which will see Channel 4 News’ Victoria Macdonald returning for another series of hard-hitting interviews - and Mental Health zone will feature in the exhibition, along with our new primary care zone, sponsored by NAPC. We are also introducing other new feature areas that will delve deeper into specific challenges affecting health and social care today.
Our new social calendar will give you even more opportunities to make new connections and develop existing relationships. This calendar will include drink receptions, private meetings and the popular Confed19 gala dinner.
