The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP), the trade agreement currently being negotiated between the EU and the USA, has attracted a great deal of attention, with competing claims that it will open the door to wholesale privatisation of the NHS, or that it will bring huge benefits in improving healthcare standards and creating jobs.
The aim of this briefing by the NHS European Office is to provide a factual analysis of a highly contentious and politicised debate and to shed light on how the deal could impact on the NHS, separating myth from fact. Download a copy of the briefing
and see our page on TTIP
for more information.
You can get involved in the TTIP debate by joining our tweetchat on TTIP and the NHS, on Wednesday 26 November, at 12.30-13.30, using #TTIPNHS.
