This NHS Reset webinar, delivered in partnership with the Primary Care Respiratory Society (PCRS), will explore how we can make respiratory healthcare greener and kinder to the environment whilst still focusing on the complete patient journey from prevention of disease and diagnosis, through to routine chronic care and including the acute situation with a #nowastenoharm approach. The COVID-19 pandemic has posed many challenges to the way we deliver care but has also shown that radical changes, many of which are kinder to the environment, can be made and can enhance the patient experience.
This webinar will explore key areas highlighted in a recent PCRS Report which are vital for ensuring a greener/sustainable future for respiratory care, these are:
• Prevention of respiratory disease including air quality
• Early and accurate diagnosis
• Sustainable commissioning
• Personalised and patient centred care and self-management
• Communication and education for staff
This webinar forms part of the NHS Confederation’s NHS Reset campaign, which contributes to the public debate on what the health and care system should look like in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.
