Building healthier communities

The talk of the past year in health and social care has been all about changing the way we deliver our services to provide the best care for the people of Wales – finding ways to move services into communities and closer to home, putting the needs of the patient at the centre of everything we do, and working together across services and sectors.
With the release of A Healthier Wales, the Welsh Government is committed to supporting a seamless and integrated way of working and has laid out its plan of action to deliver this.
The Welsh NHS Confederation Annual Conference and Exhibition will take place on Wednesday 6 February 2019 and this year we are focusing on working with partners and delivering seamless services under the banner of Healthier Communities.
We will feature leaders in integrated services, examples from around the UK of organisations working together, and workshops from across the broader health and social care sector as well as sectors that can influence people’s health and wellbeing such as housing and transport.
Our Conference and Exhibition is a leading national event in the health and social care calendar. The Conference is a unique opportunity for colleagues from all sectors of the health and care system in Wales to come together, share ideas, reflect, learn and network. The Exhibition is a chance to showcase innovation and excellence to the decision-makers in Wales.
