Job title: Head of EDI group programme
Role: Permanent, Full-time – flexible working considered
Salary: Grade B, £48,270 - £49,832 (FTE) plus £4,000 London Weighting
This new role is key in delivering the EDI programme as it requires development and translation of strategic thinking into practical and operational delivery, working with members on the ground, and the capture of measurable outcomes demonstrating that objectives are being achieved.
About the role
The NHS Confederation champions EDI throughout NHS services by supporting and empowering Members to systematise, embed and be personally accountable for EDI within their local systems, working in partnership with their communities. This is an exciting time to be influential as the new Integrated Care Systems across the country are adopting new approaches to intractable health inequality issues.
The post holder will lead the development and delivery of EDI policy and influencing work and be responsible for delivery of services within the EDI programme to Members including:
- Policy analysis, best practice reports and exemplars, connecting members with the latest policy thinking around EDI.
- Preparing briefings for members on key issues concerning EDI.
- Contributing to the NHS Confederation’s event’s programme.
- Facilitating new national and local relationships, and networking, for members, in the EDI arena.
- Supporting members through development of bespoke offers to aid their development and that of their local systems.
- Using project management skills to direct matrix working across organisational and professional boundaries.
- Using an asset based approach to deliver results.
