The NHS Confederation brings together the organisations that make up the modern NHS across the UK.
Working with our members, we are an independent driving force that aims to transform health services and health by:
- influencing policy and the wider public debate
- connecting health leaders through networking and information sharing
- promoting excellence in employment to improve the working lives of healthcare staff.
The Confederation is the only membership body for all NHS organisations, creating unique networking and learning opportunities. Our members include more than 92 per cent of NHS trusts, PCTs, strategic health authorities, health boards and health and social services boards. We have also expanded our membership to independent and not-for-profit organisations that deliver care on behalf of the NHS, through our affiliate membership scheme.
Membership of the Confederation will provide your organisation with:
- access to a range of events, including regional meetings and conferences, national conferences and our annual conference
- publications that provide you with the information you need, when you need it
- a range of networking events and publications of particular interest to non-executive directors
- regular information on the Confederation's activities, through Interchange Alert
- a range of email-based policy networks
- access to our developing range of national member forums
- discount membership of the European Healthcare Management Association.
