Integrated care organisations: evidence and experience

Integrated care organisations form part of the Next Stage Review and are seen as a means of achieving improved coordination of care, delivering better joined up services between secondary, primary and social care, and providing better overall care for patients more economically. But what does the evidence tell us and how can it help us achieve these desired aims?
