NHS Organisations currently advertising academic fellowships

Implementation placement fellowship in East of England SHA

Summary: The NHS East of England provides strategic leadership for your local NHS. It is the local Headquarters of the NHS and works with 40 local NHS organisations across Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk and Suffolk.

NHS East of England is responsible for ensuring that the £7.1billion spent on health care in the region delivers the best services and value for-money for over 5.4million people. This placement is entitled Improving Lives, Saving Lives - identifying research challenges

Productive Ward placement fellowship in East of England SHA

Summary: The Productive Ward programme has been piloted in acute hospitals by the NHS Institute for Innovation and Improvement, and is proposed as a useful tool to raise the safety and quality of care for patients. It is being implemented in 13 Trusts in the east of England and will be rolled out into community and mental health settings (a possible 40 Trusts in all). The east of England steering group has identified the opportunity for research leading from the implementation of the programme.

ESRC Follow-on Funding Scheme

What is the Follow-on Funding Scheme?

The Scheme provides follow-on funding to undertake additional knowledge transfer and impact generation activities that can demonstrate the potential for significant economic, social, policy and/or practice benefit(s). Applications that seek to commercialise research and those from resources and methods research investments will also be eligible to apply. Research that has not been funded by the ESRC is eligible for this program.

A project involving children and young people in hospital planning

Two projects: one involving Improving Lives, Saving Lives - identifying research challenges and the other involving developing a research framework to underpin the productive ward programme.
