- The BSA Medical Sociology (MedSoc) Group promotes scholarship and communication in the field of the sociology of health and illness in the UK.
- The Society for Academic Primary Care (SAPC)
- SAPC aims to promote excellence in research, education and policy development in general practice and primary health care
- The Society for the Study of Organising for Healthcare (SHOC)
- SHOC aims to promote excellence and advancement in the organisation of healthcare through research, education, service to the community, collaboration and advice to governments and other communities at both political and administrative levels nationally and internationally

- The Society aims to promote the development of scientific knowledge in social medicine. This covers a range of subjects including epidemiology, the medical and health needs of society, the provision and organization of health services and the prevention of disease
Closer association with other academic/research member organisations whose members are involved in HSR, strengthens the HSRN's ability to promote and represent all health services researchers. The benefits include:
