FHN is working with the NHS Confederation on how the principles of lean can best be applied in healthcare. This meeting looked at the impact of technology and processes on the design of buildings.

Issues raised during the discussion included the influence of culture within an organisation and how can we incorporate flexibility into design, whilst providing facilities that are of most benefit to the patient. The group gave suggestions as to how FHN can best take forward this subject in its autumn/winter programme.
