Medical Equipment

Medical equipment is a key issue for large PFI projects as equipment can be up to 30% of the build costs.

Key issues that need to be clarified and resolved include the following:

• To include or not to include: Medical equipment and services within PFI?
• Redesigning specifications: functionality, fit with new service models and standardisation
• Affordability
• Links with ICT procurement
