SDO Network
The SDO Network is a network of NHS organisations supporting research, evaluation and innovation. The Network enables managers to improve and develop the services they manage. It does this by facilitating their access and use of the latest health services research, leading to the delivery of world class health services.
Rural health forum
The rural health forum was launched in September 2004 as a sub-group of the national primary care trust chairs' forum with the aim to broaden engagement and invite a wider selection of people who have an interest in rural health issues.
NHS BME Leadership Forum
The national NHS Black and Minority Ethnic Leadership Forum was launched by the NHS Confederation and the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) in 2003. This forum drives the development of black and minority ethnic (BME) leadership and ensures a stronger voice for BME leaders and managers in the NHS.

The Code of Conduct for NHS Managers was published in October 2002, as part of the response to the Kennedy Report. The Code sets out the core standards of conduct expected of NHS managers.
