Flowers against the sky

The final report of the Next Stage Review published by Lord Darzi in June included proposals to introduce a new Commissioning for Quality and Innovation (CQUIN) scheme which aims to encourage all NHS organisations to pay a higher regard to quality.

PCT Network members attended a meeting at the Department of Health to discuss the proposed CQUIN scheme. After a presentation by the DH participants broke into groups to discuss CQUIN using questions on the areas: principles; roles and responsibilities; implementation; and implications for providers. To read more on CQUIN please read notes, and presentation from the workshop.
