The Mental Health Network work programme for the coming year provides a range of involvement opportunities for network members to participate in including events, seminars, workshops and dinners. Members are updated on opportunities through regular electronic bulletins.
We keep Network members aware of our work programmes, and involve them in specific issues, through our monthly bulletin In Touch.

The Mental health care in the future: a positive attitude conference is the dedicated Ward managers event hosted by the Mental Health Network and will take place on 19 and 20 November 2008 at the Royal York Hotel. Designed in response to the latest challenges facing you, this conference is your opportunity to network with colleagues from across the country, share knowledge and experiences. The theme of this year's Mental Health Network conference is' New Visions for mental health' and the conference programme has been designed to provoke a wide ranging debate into the best direction for mental health policy and includes leading edge speakers and practical workshops. Delegates will hear from leading speakers as they share their view on what the future of mental health policy should look like post National Service Framework for Mental Health (NSFMH). The NHS Confederation hosts regional membership meetings twice a year in each SHA area. These provide members with regional networking opportunities, as well as the chance to hear from a senior member of the Confederation, the PCT Network director and other senior speakers from national and local organisations. It also provides the opportunity to meet with the Mental Health Network board members. Find information on our regional meetings.
