Press release: Primary Care Trust Network comments on written ministerial statement 2008/09 revenue allocations to Primary Care Trusts

22 Nov 2007

Commenting on the statement, David Stout, Director of the PCT Network which represents the majority of Primary Care Trusts said:

"We are disappointed that the review of the revenue allocation formula has been delayed. PCTs will receive only one year allocations, which will make it more difficult for trusts to plan strategically for the future.

"We hope to see the Government move towards longer term allocations and pay deals as soon as possible. This would allow managers to better develop their long term planning to improve patient care with certainty, and maintain smaller contingency funds."
